The Waraxe was a Pre-Hardmode axe that was dropped by Skeletons, Hoplites, Armored Skeletons and Skeleton Archers. Critical strikes inflicted the War Cleave debuff.

Its best modifier was Light for harvesting purposes and Legendary for combat purposes.

Tips

• Although it had axe power, it was excellent to acquire early on to use as a weapon, due to its high base damage and powerful debuff.
• Since the Waraxe was technically a tool and not a weapon, it would not trigger the summoner nerf and was thus an excellent early game weapon for summoners.
