The Astral Pickaxe is a craftable Hardmode pickaxe that is capable of mining blocks up to Lihzahrd Brick and Scoria Ore. It has a range bonus of 3 tiles and has a higher than average critical strike chance. It releases light emitting particles when swung and inflicts the Astral Infection debuff.

Its best modifier is Legendary. While Light may seem to provide a better speed boost by percentages, rounding reveals that Legendary and Light mine at equal speeds for this tool.

• The Astral Pickaxe is the most powerful pre-Moon Lord pickaxe and is tied with the Blossom Pickaxe for third highest mining speed, after the Shroomite Digging Claw and Crystyl Crusher.
