Accessories are equippable items that can provide various boosts to the player, including defense, extra damage, and special abilities (such as limited flight). Accessories may be placed in vanity slots, which will show the items on the player (if possible) but will not apply any of their effects.
In Classic and Expert difficulties, the player spawns with 5 accessory slots. The Hardmode Demon Heart and post-Moon Lord Celestial Onion can each be consumed once for an extra accessory slot. Note that the Demon Heart is not available on Classic Mode, and the Celestial Onion is not available on Master Mode.
