Omega Blue armor is a craftable post-Moon Lord armor set crafted from Reaper Teeth, Depth Cells, Ruinous Souls. If the full set is visible (whether equipped or in social slots), the player will emit a pulsating aura around them.

It consists of an Omega Blue Helmet, Omega Blue Chestplate, and Omega Blue Tentacles.

The full set grants the following effects while equipped (this includes the set bonus):

  • +69 defense
  • +46% damage
  • +38% critical strike chance
  • +2 minion slots
  • +12% movement speed
  • +15 armor penetration
  • The ability to move freely through liquids
  • All attacks inflict the Crush Depth debuff
  • Negates all positive health regeneration
  • Six blue tentacles will sprout from the player's back. The tentacles move in sync with the player and sway back and forth if the player is idle. They will swat at enemies within a short range, dealing 390 damage which scales with any class damage bonuses, and greatly healing the player in the process through lifesteal. They steal up to 10 health per hit but is decreased with enemy defense and damage reduction.
  • Pressing Armor Set Bonus activates Abyssal Madness for 5 seconds, which provides the following effects while active:
    • +10% damage.
    • +10% critical strike chance.
    • Increased range and aggression for the tentacles.
    • The tentacles leave trails of blue light particles, the helmet changes appearance, and the player emits blue particles. This effect has a 25 second cooldown. After the cooldown ends, the player will emit an eruption of blue particles, indicating that the effect can be activated again.
Omega Blue armor's healing tentacles and Abyssal Madness being used against two Super Dummies, inflicting the Crush Depth debuff. Notice how the tentacles speed up and leave trails of blue light once Abyssal Madness is activated.

Notes

  • While the armor disables positive life regen, instant health restoration such as recovery potions and the Nurse can still heal the player.
  • The cooldown icon lasts for 30 seconds, as it displays for both the duration of the Abyssal Madness effect and the duration of the cooldown. During the Abyssal Madness, the cooldown icon will have glowing eyes and appear to empty out clockwise, while during the 25 seconds long cooldown section, the icon's eyes will dim out and the cooldown will fill back up counterclockwise.
  • The tentacles can only perform critical strikes during Abyssal Madness.

Tips

  • Due to positive health regeneration being disabled, the tentacles should be used in close combat to lifesteal.
  • It is risky to use items that decrease health regeneration with this armor set, such as the Mana Polarizer.
  • Due to its relatively low defense, disabling health regeneration, and incredible offensive stat bonuses, this armor acts as a glass cannon set.
  • This armor is very poor for the summoner class, as it only grants 2 minion slots with a 46% summon damage boost. In comparison, the Bloodflare summoner set grants 3 minion slots and a 77% summon damage boost.

Trivia

  • The armor set and its tentacles resemble the Eidolon Wyrm. Specifically, it references concept art of the Eidolon Wyrms made by the artist Inanis.
  • The name for this armor and its former sprite are based on the Marvel character Omega Red, who also possesses tentacles.
  • Although the tentacle's lifesteal effect is normally capped at 10 HP, using items with the Withering or Bloodthirsty enchantments can increase the lifesteal effect up to a maximum of 30 HP. However, since Enchantments are obtained much later in the game's progression, this is impractical in real situations.
