- Not to be confused with Iron Greaves, a piece of Iron armor.
The Iron Boots are a Pre-Hardmode accessory that are obtained from Ancient Treasure Chests in the Abyss. When equipped, they allow the player to fall faster in liquids, replacing the normal 50% decrease in vertical speed while submerged in liquid (26 mph fall speed) with a much lesser 10% decrease (46 mph fall speed).

- The Iron Boots can also be obtained from the Hydrothermal and Sulphurous Crate after either The Slime God or the Wall of Flesh have been defeated.
