The 1.4.2.109 update added several items, especially equipment for the Rogue class, along with a handful of changes and fixes.
Additions
- Added Aestheticus, Ashen Stalactite, Bouncy Spiky Ball, Deep Wounder, Defective Sphere, Desecrated Water, Equanimity, Frostcrush Valari, Gilded Dagger, Gleaming Dagger, God's Paranoia, Hardened Honeycomb, Infernal Kris, Jaws of Oblivion, Leviathan Teeth, Nasty Cholla, Nychthemeron, Phantasmal Ruin, Phantom Lance, Profaned Partisan, Shinobi Blade, Shroomerang, Sticky Spiky Ball, Sylvan Slasher, Terra Disk, Terror Talons, Turbulance, Web Ball, and Wyvern's Call.
- Added Dynamo Stem Cells.
- Added Abyssal Crate and Cosmilite Basin.
- Added the King Slime lore item.
- Added Clamor Noctus, Ethereal Extorter, Exorcism, Latcher Mine, Plagued Fuel Pack, Poison Pack, Sand Cloak, Spectral Veil, Star of Destruction, and The Microwave as unobtainable items.
- Gael's Greatsword, Totality Breakers, Umbraphile Boots, Umbraphile Hood, and Umbraphile Regalia are now obtainable.
Changes
Balance
- Nerfed The Ballista's damage from 125 to 90, and use time from 20 to 22. Fossil shards now deal 20% base damage instead of 75%.
- Blast Barrel's shrapnel, Kylie's stealth strike, and Celestial Reaper's afterimages no longer deal flat damage.
- Rebalanced Consecrated Water. Nerfed damage from 55 to 48, but flame pillars no longer deal flat damage.
- Nerfed Corroslime Staff and Crimslime Staff's damages from 30 to 24, and they now grant 23 local immunity frames instead of 10.
- Nerfed Fantasy Talisman's damage from 90 to 80, and use time from 14 to 16.
- Nerfed Firestorm Cannon's damage from 18 to 9, capped primary fire's pierce at three, and secondary fire now deals 140% base damage instead of 160%.
- Rebalanced Helium Flash. Nerfed damage from 1900 to 1280. Explosion now deals 50% base damage, but no longer deals flat damage.
- Rebalanced Galaxy Smasher. Nerfed damage from 855 to 480 for the melee variant, and 390 for the rogue variant. On-hit lasers no longer deal flat damage.
- Rebalanced Nanoblack Reaper. Nerfed damage from 800 to 500 for the rogue variant. Nanoblades no longer deal flat damage.
- Nerfed Statigel armor's set bonus slime minion's damage from 33 to 26, and it now grants 23 local immunity frames instead of 10.
- Rebalanced Stellar Contempt. Nerfed damage from 575 to 350 for the melee variant, and 325 for the rogue variant. On-hit lunar flares no longer deal flat damage.
- Buffed Totality Breakers, projectiles now ignore immunity frames.
Recipes
- Added Any Evil Flesh, Any Evil Water, Any Gold Bar, and Any Silt recipe groups.
- Celestus now uses Phantasmal Ruin in its recipe instead of Luminous Striker.
- Draedon's Heart now uses 250 Nanites in its recipe.
- Elemental Disk now uses Terra Disk in its recipe instead of Seashell Boomerang.
- Fantasy Talisman now uses 2 Solar Veils, 5 Ectoplasm, and 3 Silk in its recipe instead of 1 Solar Veil and 1 Ectoplasm, and it now yields 100 instead of 5.
- Metal Detector can now be crafted with 10 Wires, 5 Hallowed Bars, and 5 Spelunker Glowsticks at a Hardmode Anvil.
Resprites
- Resprited Blazing Star.
- Resprited Ceaseless Void's map icon.
Additional Changes
- Aureus Cell now counts as a buff potion instead of a food item.
- Removed unnecessary netcode from Aureus Spawn.
- Optimized multiplayer biome syncing code.
- Blood Frenzy, Elysian Guard, Tarragon Cloak, and Tarragon Immunity can no longer be manually cancelled.
- Buffed the life regeneration granted by Bloodfins.
- Added network packets for toggling Calamity's difficulties and changing the life regeneration of NPCs.
- Deathhail Staff, Fate's Reveal, Soul Piercer, and Vesuvius are no longer held at a different offset.
- Many debuffs added by the Calamity Mod no longer take debuff slots on NPCs.
- Bosses and other enemies in Boss Rush are now vulnerable to more debuffs, including Spite.
- Added a network packet for enabling Demon Trophy.
- Depth Cells now uses the rarity instead of , and increased sell price from 40 to 80 .
- Ectoblood now uses the rarity instead of .
- Reduced the volume of Handheld Tank's firing sound.
- Anechoic Plating, Depths Charm, Iron Boots, and Strange Orb can no longer be caught without any rare-item-boosting equipment.
- Lumenyl now uses the rarity instead of , and increased sell price from 36 to 80 .
- Increased Monkey Darts' buy price from 1 to 4 .
- Pitbull can now drop Adhesive Bandage in Hardmode.
- Polaris Boost, Spirit Defense, Spirit Power, and Spirit Regen buffs no longer display a timer.
- Doubled the chance of acquiring Radiating Crystal from Radiator.
- Any Sand Shark variant now counts for summoning the Great Sand Shark.
- Projectiles from Sea's Searing now change colors as they travel.
- The Skeleton Merchant now sells Marrow in Hardmode.
- Slush Blocks can now be converted to Novae Slag by the Astral Infection.
- Increased the drop rate of Solar Veils from 5% / 10% to 50% / 75% .
- Solar Veil now uses the rarity instead of , and increased sell price from 40 to 80 .
- Throwing Brick now uses the rarity instead of , and decreased sell price from 40 to 10 .
- The following projectiles and enemies that inflict cold damage are now affected by the Warmth Potion:
- Angry Dog, Aurora Spirit, both Cryocores, Cryon, and Frost Mist.
- All Calamity yoyos now internally count as yoyos.
Fixes
- Fixed placed Aerialite Brick when merged with other tiles.
- Ancient Iron Helmet and Ancient Gold Helmet now provide the correct mining speed set bonuses.
- Fixed the post-Moon Lord Blood Moon buffing the Celestial Pillars.
- Fixed multiplayer desyncing issues with Bumblebirb, Golem, The Plaguebringer Goliath, and Queen Bee.
- Fixed Cryonic Ore being unable to generate in Astral Ice biomes.
- Daedalus armor, Elemental Gauntlet, Elemental Quiver, Ethereal Talisman, Nanotech, and Statis' Belt of Curses can no longer affect projectiles fired from Town NPCs.
- Fixed Daggers being internally counted as Boomerangs.
- Projectiles with zero damage no longer split with Elemental Quiver.
- Fireworks launched when the player levels up Proficiency are no longer valid ranged attacks.
- Fixed an error in Gael's Greatsword's tooltip.
- Fixed an oversight in the way God Slayer armor's darts handled their opacity.
- Fixed a bug involving heart textures on the main menu.
- Fixed sheeting errors with Hive and its sentry form.
- Fixed the Mechworm randomly attaching to other projectiles and scaling in size.
- Fixed a minor error in the loot table of Novae Slag.
- Fixed Radiator appearing as a black rectangle.
- Sand Dollar can now throw two projectiles while the stack size is two.
- Soul of Cryogen now correctly blocks fall damage.
- Fixed a large amount of tile errors that potentially lead to crashes.
