- If the
Empty Music Box Respriteconfiguration option is toggled, the sprite for the empty Music Box will change.- It also allows them to be placed down as tiles.
- The Codebreaker and Exo Mech Selection music boxes are present in the base Calamity Mod and do not require the music add-on to be obtained or heard.
- Calamity music boxes cannot be activated with wires in multiplayer.
- All Music Boxes are able to be stacked up to 9999.
- The Workshop Tier 6 and Abyss Layer 3 Alt Music Boxes cannot be obtained if the Calamity Mod is disabled.
- Despite Music Box (Boss Rush - Tier 5) being unobtainable normally, it can be obtained through crafting while Vanilla Calamity Mod Music is enabled.
- Music Box (Boss Rush - Tier 5) is one of the few items in the Calamity Mod that is not researchable.
Trivia
- The names and colors of Calamitas' music boxes are in reference to DM DOKURO's video for her theme.
- Similarly to certain vanilla Music Boxes's recipes, The Calamity Title Music Box's recipe includes every biome track in The Tale of a Cruel World album.
- The Boss Rush Tier 4 Music Box is based on the Calamity Title Theme Music Box, and the Tier 5 Music Box is based on a former sprite for the Abyss Layer 3 Music Box.
- There is an unused Music Box sprite for a Planetoid Music Box in the mod's files.
