The Shattered Community is a post-Moon Lord developer accessory. It is the exhumed form of The Community. It grants the following effects while equipped:

• +10% damage
• +5% critical strike chance
• +10% maximum health
• +5% damage reduction
• +10 defense
• +1 HP/s
• +10% movement speed
• +20% flight time
• Reworks the Rage Meter (and adds it if Revengeance or Death Mode are not enabled):
  • Rage no longer depletes when out of combat
  • Rage generates passively over time
  • Rage generates upon taking damage. While Rage Mode is active, this effect is halved
  • Doubles the duration of Rage Mode
  • The more damage dealt with Rage Mode, the higher damage Rage Mode will deal

Stat Scaling

The Shattered Community has a level mechanic which is based on the amount of damage dealt when equipped while the Rage Mode buff is active. All stats will persist even after the buff runs out, the player dies, the player goes to another world, it is given to another player, or it is unequipped. When it levels up, a purple laser beam falls from the sky, followed by a pop-up text "The Community cracks..." above the player.

The Shattered Community can be leveled up to a maximum of 25. Each level grants 1% extra damage with the Rage Mode buff. The marginal and total damage required for each level are listed below.

Notes

• The amount of rage passively gained per second is 2 units, which also equals to 2% of the full meter.
• The non-rage stat boosts given by the Shattered Community are identical to those of a fully-powered Community, but the life regen boost always applies regardless of condition.
• The amount of rage gained per hit is the following: True Damage Taken/Max Health * Rage Mode penalty * Max Rage penalty * 80
  • The true damage taken is calculated after damage multipliers, but before defense and damage reduction.
  • Rage Mode penalty is equal to 1 by default, 0.5 if the player has Rage Mode buff.
  • Max Rage penalty is equal to 1 by default, ³/_{(3 + Current Rage/100)} if the player has at least a full meter (100 units) of Rage.
  • For example, if the player were to take 100 damage with 1000 max health, they would gain 8 units of rage. This is reduced to 4 with Rage Mode active, and further reduced to 2.5 if the player has 180 units of rage when taking the hit.
• If the player has the Shattered Community equipped, they cannot equip The Community and vice versa.

Trivia

• This accessory actually has a unique rarity but is referred to here as Hot Pink for consistency between items.
  • This unique rarity alternates between dark purple (#803E80 ●) and bright pink (#F569F5 ●) colors.
• Building the Rage Meter by taking damage was previously the main way of charging it prior to its rework in the 1.5.0.001 update, the same update that added this accessory.
• This is the only exhumed item to often be considered a direct upgrade to its base form, as the other exhumed items all have effects that can harm the player as well as enemies, while the Shattered Community only has a few stat bonuses removed.
• It can be considered the counterpart to Draedon's Heart, as each of these two accessories rework one of the Revengeance Mode meters.
