The Radiance is a craftable post-Moon Lord accessory. It grants 8 defense, 70 max life, and the life regeneration effects of the Honey buff anywhere. It also grants 4 life regen, which linearly increases as the player's health ratio is lower, up to a maximum of 12 at 0% health. Additionally, it makes the player emit yellow light if visibility is enabled. While the player is standing still and not using any items, the player gains 4 additional life regen and significantly accelerates in natural life regen.

While any debuffs are active, the player's defense will increase by an additional 20 (for a total of 28), and minimum natural life regen will be raised. The player will also begin to regenerate externally at a rate of 5 health per second, which decays the longer the player has debuffs for. If the player has multiple debuffs, each additional one grants 8 defense. As the player loses debuffs, the defense granted by debuffs will gradually decrease at a rate of one defense per second.

Additionally, it negates the effects of the following debuffs, while still counting towards being debuffed: Armor Crunch, Astral Infection, Brain Rot, Brimstone Flames, Burning Blood, Crush Depth, Eutrophication, Holy Flames, Irradiated, Plague, Riptide, Shadowflame, Sulphuric Poisoning, Vaporfied, Whispering Death, and Wither.

Most debuffs, including the ones that get negated, are halved in duration.




  • None of the effects stack with any other accessories in its line other than the defense and max life provided.
  • While debuffs are active, natural life regen is increased by applying a lower bound of the lifeRegenTime variable to 1800 at all times, which effectively provides a headstart of 30 seconds.
    • This would persist even when all debuffs run out until the player gets hit, which would then reset it to 0. Getting hit while debuffed would still reset lifeRegenTime to 1800 due to the lower bound.
  • The natural life regen boost from standing still sets the lower bound of the lifeRegenTime variable to 1800 if it exceeds 60, and increases by 4 additional per frame. This effectively quintuples natural life regeneration rate and provides a headstart of 30 seconds.
  • In Death Mode, the following debuffs are also prevented from being increased in damage over time: Acid Venom, Cursed Inferno, Electrified, Frostburn, On Fire!, and Poisoned.



These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Nerfed max health boost from 100 to 70.

      • Now grants between 6 and 14 life regeneration depending on missing health, gives permanent honey life regeneration, and makes standing still massively boost life regeneration.
      • All debuffs have durations halved, and weaker debuffs are rendered entirely harmless.
    • Now uses Ambrosial Ampoule, 4 Ascendant Spirit Essences, and 5 Auric Bars in its recipe instead of 3 Dark Plasma and 5 Luminite Bars, and now requires a Cosmic Anvil to craft instead of an Ancient Manipulator.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 15 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 12.

  • Fixed it using the Rarity Level: 13 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 12.
    • Now grants 12 defense. Nerfed defense boost under a damaging debuff from 20 to 15.
    • No longer reflects enemy projectiles and no longer causes stars to rain down when the player is hit.
    • Now uses 3 Dark Plasma and 5 Luminite Bars in its recipe instead of Astral Bulwark and Arcanum of the Void.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 13 rarity instead of Rarity Level: rainbow, and increased sell price from 24 Gold Coin to 26 Gold Coin.
    • Buffed life regeneration boost while inflicted with an alcohol debuff from 1 to 2.
    • Reflect is now guaranteed and grants 20 immunity frames, but triggers a 75 second global cooldown with other dodges and reflects.
    • Teleports no longer work while a boss is alive.
  • Jungle teleport now teleports the player to the Lihzahrd Altar's original location.
  • Now provides immunity to Astral Infection instead of God Slayer Inferno.
    • Nerfed defense buff while under a damaging debuff from 40 to 20.
    • Nerfed life regeneration boost when under a damaging debuff from 8 to 4.
  • Nerfed projectile deflection chance from 10% to 5%.
    • Now has a UI. It no longer uses hotkeys for each location, and now simply just uses one key to open the UI.
    • Updated tooltip to reflect the UI change.
    • Nerfed life regeneration boost when not under a damaging debuff from 4 to 2.
    • Now uses 1 Celestial Jewel in its recipe and now requires an Ancient Manipulator to craft instead of a Hardmode Anvil.
