The 2.0.0.001 (or 2.0.0.1) update upgraded the mod to Terraria 1.4.3.6 (tModLoader v2022.5.103+). This means the Calamity Mod now supports many features that were released alongside the Vanilla Terraria 1.4.0.1 series of updates, including the Bestiary, Relics, and Journey Mode. This update also introduced redesigns and reworks of the Sea Remains set (previously "Victide"), and removed many extraneous weapons.
This update was the first to be hosted on tModLoader's Steam Workshop.

Aquatic Scourge
- Slightly decreased how often Acid Mist projectiles are released on all difficulties.

Astrum Aureus
- Now spawns 6 homing flame crystals instead of 9 when it stomps.
- Aureus Spawns in Death Mode now fire homing lasers towards the player instead of flame crystals.

The Torch God

Enemies
- Almost all enemies introduced after vanilla Terraria v1.3.5.3 are now affected by the Calamity debuff vulnerability and resistance system:
- Antlion Larva and Blood Mummy are vulnerable to cold, water, and sickness debuffs.
- Blood Eel, Blood Squid, Dreadnautilus, Gnome, Hemogoblin Shark, Spore Bat, Wandering Eye Fish, and Zombie Merman are vulnerable to cold, sickness, and heat debuffs.
- Pirate's Curse is resistant to sickness debuffs.
- Rock Golem is vulnerable to water debuffs, but resistant to sickness debuffs.
- Spore Skeleton is vulnerable to water and heat debuffs, but resistant to sickness debuffs.
- Angry Dandelion and Blood Squid no longer deal contact damage.
- Nerfed Antlion Larva's health from 35 to 15.
- Nerfed Chattering Teeth Bomb's damage from 150 to 100.
- The health and defense nerf that applies to Underground Desert enemies is no longer removed after defeating Desert Scourge.
- Hadarian now has a 5% chance to drop Hadarian Wings after defeating Astrum Aureus.
- Prismatic Lacewing can now spawn at the start of Hardmode.
Balance
Armor and Accessories
- All Accessories can now be equipped in vanity slots.
- Abyssal Diving Suit now grants immunity to Sulphuric Poisoning.
- Alchemical Flask now grants immunity to Plague instead of reducing its damage.
- Nerfed Amphibian Boots, Frog Flipper, and Frog Webbing's jump speed boosts from 48% to 10%.
- Nerfed Angelic Alliance, archangel lasers now deal 10% minion damage instead of 25%.
- Aureate Booster, Hadal Mantle, Hadarian Wings, and Skyline Wings no longer grant bonus movement speed or jump speed when combined with certain armor set bonuses.
- Arcane Flower and Magnet Flower now decrease mana cost by 20% instead of 8%.
- Berserker's Glove now grants 10% increased true melee damage.
- Rebalanced Bloody Worm Tooth. It now always provides 7% melee speed and damage instead of 5% normally and 10% when below 50% health.
- Buffed Core of the Blood God's max health boost from 10% to 15%.
- Deadshot Brooch and Elemental Quiver no longer increase defense, life regeneration, and mining speed. Instead, they now greatly increase ranged projectile velocity.
- Nerfed Dunerider Boots' movement speed boost while running on Sand Blocks from 175% to 125%.
- Dynamo Stem Cells now grant immunity to Electrified and Dragonfire.
- Elemental Gauntlet now inherits the auto swing and melee size modifier boosts from Fire Gauntlet.
- Buffed Frozen Shield's defense from 6 to 13.
- Nerfed Hadarian Wings' flight time from 120 to 90.
- Buffed Hero Shield's defense from 10 to 20.
- Ink Bomb now releases 3 bombs when hit instead of 5.
- Lava Skull and Obsidian Skull Rose now grant 4 defense while equipped.
- Magma Skull, Molten Charm, Molten Skull Rose, and Obsidian Skull Rose now grant immunity to On Fire! and Burning.
- Nerfed Magic Quiver's ranged damage boost from 10% to 5%.
- Magiluminescence no longer grants the player a movement speed boost.
- Rebalanced Molten Quiver. Nerfed ranged damage and critical strike chance boosts from 10% to 7%, but it now causes all arrows to inflict On Fire! for 1-3 seconds on hit.
- Molten Skull Rose now grants 8 defense while equipped.
- Reverted the nerfs to Nebula armor's life boosters.
- Nerfed Sniper Scope's ranged damage and critical strike boosts from 10% to 7%.
- Nerfed Soaring Insignia's jump speed boost from 48% to 10% and acceleration boost from 2x to 1.1x.
- Soaring Insignia no longer grants infinite flight time and instead increases flight time by 50% while equipped.
- Nerfed Spectre Mask's soul projectile damage from 100% weapon damage to 50%.
- Stress Pills now make the Adrenaline Meter charge 20% faster, instead of making hits only remove half of the Adrenaline meter.
- Moved the Titanium armor set bonus nerf to Hallowed armor's set bonus.
Weapons
- The following weapons now have auto use:
- Abigail's Flower, Bat Bat, Blade Staff, Cool Whip, Desert Tiger Staff, Durendal, Eventide, Finch Staff, Firecracker, Flinx Staff, Gray Zapinator, Kaleidoscope, Leather Whip, Morning Star, Orange Zapinator, Paper Airplane, Quad-Barrel Shotgun, Sanguine Staff, Slime Puppet Staff, Snapthorn, Spinal Tap, Storm Spear, Tentacle Spike, Terraprisma, Tragic Umbrella, Umbrella, Vampire Frog Staff, Weather Pain, and White Paper Airplane.
- Point-Blank Damage now scales down with distance. Increased the duration a ranged projectile can be alive for it to perform Point-Blank Damage by 50%.
- Holding a Summon weapon no longer grants 10% increased summon damage.
- Nerfed Acceleration Round's damage from 11 to 10.
- Buffed Adamantite Repeater's damage from 44 to 61, and use time from 19 to 18.
- Removed Aether's Whisper's right click attack, meaning that the weapon no longer deals ranged damage.
- Nerfed Anchor's use time from 20 to 45.
- Nerfed Amber Staff's damage from 28 to 19.
- Buffed Arctic Arrow's damage from 18 to 20.
- Rebalanced Astral Blade. Nerfed use time from 9 to 12, but removed its melee speed nerf.
- Nerfed Bananarang's damage from 110 to 98.
- Buffed Bat Scepter's damage from 50 to 56.
- Nerfed Bee Keeper's damage from 65 to 60.
- Nerfed The Bee's Knees' damage from 28 to 18, and use time from 24 to 38.

- Rebalanced Mantis Claws. Nerfed use time from 6 to 8, but removed its melee speed nerf.
- Mythril Knife's stealth strike no longer inflicts Armor Crunch or Acid Venom.
- Nerfed Nadir, void tentacles now grant 10 effective local immunity frames instead of 1.
- Nerfed Napalm Arrow's damage from 14 to 12.
- Rebalanced Omniblade. Nerfed use time from 10 to 12, but removed its melee speed nerf.
- Buffed Phaseblades' damage from 42 to 51, and they all now have 100% armor penetration on hit.
- Taking damage now reduces Polaris Parrotfish's counter by 10 instead of completely resetting the counter.
- Prismatic Breaker and Sparkling Empress' lasers now have aim inertia.
- Buffed Staff of Earth's damage from 122 to 150.
- Buffed Stake Launcher's damage from 94 to 150.
- Nerfed Terra Blade, projectiles no longer deal 150% base damage.
- Buffed Terragrim's projectile size by 150%.
- Rebalanced Tome of Infinite Wisdom. Buffed damage from 30 to 32, but nerfed mana cost from 10 to 14.
- Nerfed Toxibow, converted arrows now inflict Irradiated instead of Sulphuric Poisoning.
- Nerfed True Night's Edge, projectiles no longer deal 150% base damage.
- Buffed Wulfrum Bow's damage from 11 to 12.
Other
- Item use speed tooltips have been rewritten for clarity:
- Items with an internal use time of 1-5 are now labeled as Insanely fast.
- Items with an internal use time of 6-9 are now labeled as Very fast.
- Items with an internal use time of 10-14 are now labeled as Fast.
- Items with an internal use time of 15-22 are now labeled as Average.
- Items with an internal use time of 23-29 are now labeled as Slow.
- Items with an internal use time of 30-37 are now labeled as Very slow.
- Items with an internal use time of 38-45 are now labeled as Extremely slow.
- Items with an internal use time of 46 and above are now labeled as Snail.
- Calamitas' Brew now causes melee weapons to inflict Brimstone Flames instead of Abyssal Flames.
- Calcium now lasts for 20 minutes instead of 15.
- Chaos State no longer increases the cooldowns of Evasion Scarf and Counter Scarf, or vice versa.
- Demon Flames, Eutrophication, Mushy, Nightwither, Shred, and Temporal Sadness are no longer applied to the player for double their initial durations in Expert Mode or higher.
- The Luck stat no longer affects damage deviations.
- Malice Mode no longer increases certain projectile velocities by 25%.
- Nerfed Panic!'s movement speed boost from 25% to 20%.

- Adjusted the material cost of all Vanilla Pre-Hardmode ore recipes:
- Copper, Tin, Iron, Lead, Silver, Tungsten, Gold, and Platinum Helmets use 10 of their corresponding bars.
- Copper, Tin, Iron, Lead, Silver, Tungsten, Gold, and Platinum Body Armor use 16 of their corresponding bars.
- Copper, Tin, Iron, Lead, Silver, Tungsten, Gold, and Platinum Leggings use 14 of their corresponding bars.
- Additionally, Ancient Iron and Gold Helmets can now be crafted with 10 of their corresponding bars.
- The Absorber no longer uses Sea Shell in its recipe and no longer inherits its effects.
- Angel Treads now uses Terraspark Boots in its recipe instead of Frostspark Boots and Lava Waders.
- Ankh Charm now uses Pocket Mirror in its recipe. Ankh Charm and its upgrades now grant immunity to Stoned.
- Replaced all crafting recipe instances of Arkhalis with Terragrim.
- All five Auric Tesla armor head pieces no longer use Psychotic Amulet in their recipes and no longer inherit its effects.
- Bundle of Balloons now uses 3 Aerialite Bars in its recipe.
- Calcium Potion now uses 4 Bottled Water in its recipe instead of 1, and now yields 4 instead of 1. Blood Orb recipe now uses 1 Blood Orb instead of 10.
- Cooked Fish can now be crafted with a Sea Minnow at a Cooking Pot.
- Core of the Blood God no longer uses Bloody Worm Scarf in its recipe.
- Daawnlight Spirit Origin now uses 4 Galactica Singularities and 10 Luminite Bars in its recipe instead of 3 Lead Cores and 4 Ascendant Spirit Essences, and now requires an Ancient Manipulator to craft instead of a Cosmic Anvil.
- Deadshot Brooch no longer uses Celestial Stone in its recipe.
- Enchanted Boomerang now uses 6 Victory Shards, 8 Any Gold Bars, and a Wooden Boomerang in its recipe, and now requires an Anvil to craft instead of By Hand.

Reworks
- Reworked Bladecrest Oathsword. It now has a custom swing animation and fires three scythes per swing instead of one. Buffed use time from 25 to 21.
- Reworked Cloud Elemental AI. She now hovers around and randomly performs one of three attacks: casting a ring of 5 cloud tornadoes, summoning 5 Angry Nimbi, and teleporting. Below 50% health, she casts 8 tornadoes, and summons 6 Angry Nimbi at a faster rate. Additionally, she gains two new attacks: creating 7 clouds which fire lightning bolts and performing four charges at the player in quick succession. She cannot summon Angry Nimbi while 10 or more are alive.
- Reworked Cnidarian, it no longer functions as a yoyo. It now holds out an electric jellyfish hook attached to a string, which follows the mouse cursor. If an enemy is damaged by the hook, it causes active minions to target that enemy. Only one enemy can be targeted at a time. Additionally, sparks will periodically fire from the jellyfish hook when swung. It now deals summon damage instead of melee damage.
- Reworked Coral Spout, it no longer continuously fires out gravity-affected coral spike projectiles. It now fires out a spread of five pink coral spikes that travel a short distance before exploding. The weapon can be charged up to decrease the spread of the coral spikes. When charged for 1.25 seconds, the coral spike projectiles will be replaced with a light blue coral chunk. Coral chunks travel much farther and at a higher velocity. When a coral chunk hits an enemy, it will stick to the enemy for 3 seconds before falling off. After falling off of an enemy, coral chunks can be recovered by the player to restore 100 mana. Coral chunks will only linger after falling off of an enemy for 5.5 seconds. Sound cues will also play when charging up the weapon, when it is fully charged, and when coral chunks fall off of enemies. Nerfed damage from 17 to 7.
- Reworked Draedon's Heart, no longer increases the player's life regeneration and damage reduction while standing still. It now adds the Nanomachines meter, which will gradually charge over time during boss encounters. When the meter is full, it can be activated, which will cause the player to heal for 360 health over two seconds while hindering the player's movement. Activating the Nanomachines meter will also cause the player to dismount if they are using one. Getting hit while the meter is charging will cause the meter to stop charging for 1 second. If the player is on Revengeance Mode or higher, while equipped this accessory will replace the Adrenaline Meter with the Nanomachines meter. Additionally, it now grants the player 48 defense.
- Reworked Fishbone Boomerang, it now has a hitsound that increases in pitch per enemy hit. Once 10 enemies have been hit in a single throw, the hitsound is replaced with a drum. If the boomerang hits an enemy or tile, 1-2 cosmetic bone gores will spawn that deal no damage. Additionally, it now has a custom throw animation. Its stealth strike now gives the boomerang the ability to ricochet between enemies instead of spawning seashell projectiles.
- Reworked Old Die, it no longer increases the damage deviation range, including rolling the deviation twice for rogue damage. It now increases the luck stat by 0.2 while equipped.
- Reworked Old Lord Oathsword. It now has a custom swing animation and no longer has an effect on critical strikes. The player can right click to hold the sword upwards while charging up. If fully charged, the player will spin in the direction of the cursor while trailing homing bombs. Nerfed use time from 24 to 34.
- Reworked Redtide Spear, it no longer fires a stinger that poisons enemies on hit. It now swings similarly to Ghastly Glaive. Additionally, when used while running, the player will hold the weapon steadily forward, which increases the knockback dealt to enemies. When releasing the attack button, ending the run, or after jumping, the player will slash the spear upwards, causing any enemies at the spear's end not immune to knockback to be thrown into the air, and receiving up to 50 fall damage when they hit the ground. Buffed damage from 28 to 33.
- Reworked Reed Blowgun, it no longer fires arrows and a spread of water bolts. It now fires a stream of high-velocity bubbles. It no longer requires ammo to fire. Buffed damage from 12 to 19.
- Reworked Stream Gouge, it no longer fires essence spear clones. The spear now spins around the player and summons a portal to attack in random directions in the range of the cursor. Buffed damage from 112 to 300.
- Reworked Titanium Railgun, it no longer instantly fires a beam on use. Holding down left click now charges up the weapon to fire an extremely fast beam when released. The damage of the beam scales with how long it has been charged up for, stopping when the sights full converge. Buffed damage from 100 to 275 and knockback from 3 to 5, but nerfed use time from 25 to 26.
- Reworked Urchin Mace, it no longer fires out a whirlpool projectile when swung. It is now charged up to use. Charging up the weapon will cause it to spin rapidly around the player, generating a large whirlpool. While charging up, the mace itself will deal damage to enemies, the whirlpool will not. Once charged, the player can release the whirlpool towards the direction of their cursor by letting go of the charge. The whirlpool will travel a medium-length distance before exploding, dealing damage to all enemies it hits while traveling. Nerfed damage from 35 to 20.
- Reworked the Victide Mask set bonus minion, it no longer summons a sea urchin above the player, firing stingers at nearby enemies. It instead spawns a sea snail that will remain next to the player's side, firing a spread of projectiles towards enemies. While moving, the sea snail will spin above the player and continue to fire projectiles towards nearby enemies.
