The 2.0.1.001 (or 2.0.1.1) update reworked several early-game item sets, including Wulfrum, Desert Prowler, and Marnite, as well as overhauled how Calamity difficulties are toggled, and removed Malice Mode from the game. Additionally, this update added several Donor items and Pylons.

This update also rebalanced several boss AIs and ported the mod to tModLoader v2022.7.58.

Bosses and Mini Bosses

Astrum Aureus

Brimstone Elemental

  • Removed the stat buff that she received after defeating Providence, the Profaned Goddess.
  • Brimlings now idle near the Brimstone Elemental and mimic her attacks instead of idling in place and firing projectiles.

Calamitas

  • Removed the stat buff that she received after defeating Providence, the Profaned Goddess.
  • Infinite dash during her final phase is now exclusive to Death Mode.

Crabulon

  • Decreased delay before attacking the player when it is first spawned in on all modes.
  • Now fires its Mushroom projectiles directly from its mouth on all modes. Additionally, Mushroom projectiles now spawn less dust to improve visibility.

Desert Scourge

The Devourer of Gods

  • Removed several dialog options, this includes:
    • "Good luck recovering from that!"
    • "Nothing personal, kid."
    • "Are you honestly that bad at dodging?"
    • "Of all my segments to get hit by..."
    • Additionally, removed instances of "kid" from his dialog.

Eater of Worlds

  • Decreased the velocity of the Cursed Fireball projectiles by 41.67% in Revengeance and Death Modes. Cursed Fireball velocities are now doubled while enraged.
  • Significantly increased the brightness of the Vile Spit projectiles in all modes.

Exo Mechs

  • Ares now resists Seraphim laser damage by 10% and the Eclipse's Fall main projectile by 20%.
  • Artemis and Apollo now resist the Seared Pan's damage by 10%.
  • Thanatos now has a damage resistance to the following items:
    • 50% resist to the Tarragon Throwing Dart stealth strike projectiles.
    • 30% resist to the Eclipse's Fall main projectile.
    • 20% resist to the Utensil Poker.
    • 20% resist to the Final Dawn lunge attack and 15% resist to its lingering flames.
    • 15% resist to the Plasma Grenade.
    • Additionally decreased its resistance to Seraphim from 95% to 90%.

The Hive Mind

  • Reduced Dark Heart shaderain delay from 0.5 seconds to 0.4 seconds.

Jungle Dragon, Yharon

  • Replaced sound effects with brand new ones.

King Slime

  • Increased Crown Jewel bolt projectile velocity by 11.11%, and significantly increased the brightness of the Crown Jewel on all modes.
  • Can now jump through tiles, and will now attempt to teleport in front of the player in Revengeance Mode.
  • Increased the chance for King Slime to spawn Pinky as it takes damage on Revengeance and Death Mode from 0.4% to 1%.

Leviathan and Anahita

Martian Saucer

  • Nerfed the Core HP from 10,000 / 20,000 Expert Mode / 30,000 Master Mode to 6000 / 12,000 Expert Mode / 18,000 Master Mode.

Providence, the Profaned Goddess

  • Now spawns her Holy Fire projectiles slightly higher up to prevent cheap hits.

Queen Bee

  • Now uses her vanilla Stinger projectiles in Revengeance and Death Mode.

Queen Slime

  • Can now jump through tiles, and will now attempt to teleport in front of the player in Revengeance Mode.
  • Significantly increased the visibility of her boss summons in all modes.

Skeletron Prime

  • No longer flings its Laser and Cannon arms at the player, and no longer fires a barrage of Rockets or a ring of Laser projectiles from its head while all of its arms are destroyed in Revengeance and Death Mode.
  • Now enters its spin phase after 1.5 seconds instead of 5 seconds in Revengeance and Death Mode.

The Slime God

  • Removed the "Core phase" and made the Core invulnerable to all damage. When both the Crimulan and Ebonian Slime Gods have been defeated, the core will explode after a short delay, dropping its loot.
  • Increased the HP of the Crimulan and Ebonian Slime Gods by 50%.
  • Significantly increased the visibility of boss summons in all modes.

Storm Weaver

  • Increased the distance between Frost Waves and Tornado projectiles in all modes.

Supreme Calamitas

  • Now has a custom hitsound.
  • No longer decreases the healing from dropped hearts.

Reworks

  • Reworked the Abandoned Wulfrum Helmet, it no longer grants any bonuses when equipped. Instead, it now functions as a vanity accessory that, while equipped, transforms the player into a Wulfrum Robot. Additionally, it can also be worn in the head slot, which will not cause the player to transform. It is no longer considered a part of the Wulfrum armor set.
  • Reworked the Desert Prowler armor set bonus, it no longer causes ranged damage critical hits to occasionally summon a sandstorm. It now grants the player the ability to shroud themselves in a sand cloud. While the sand cloud is active, the player's movement speed is increased by 150%, and dealing damage to enemies will decrease the duration of the sand cloud by 1.5 seconds. Dealing damage within a second of activating the sand cloud will cause your next ranged weapon to automatically critically hit, and have a critical strike damage modifier of 200%. The sand cloak has a base duration of 5 seconds, and has a cooldown of 20 seconds.
  • Overhauled the Difficulty Indicator, it now serves as the only way to enable Revengeance Mode and Death Mode on a world. The Difficulty Indicator will glow until it is pressed the first time. When pressed, the indicator will create a dropdown menu with three options between the world's vanilla difficulty, Revengeance Mode, and Death Mode. Each option will have a corresponding icon, which can be hovered over with the mouse cursor for more information. Additionally, holding down the ⇧ Left Shift key will expand the descriptions even further. Additionally, there is a fourth option, indicated with the now removed Malice Mode icon, that explains that Malice Mode was removed from the game. Selecting one of the three primary options will apply the difficulty and close the menu. The menu can also be closed by closing the inventory screen. Enabling or disabling Revengeance Mode and Death Mode is prohibited while a boss is alive or if the world is on Classic Mode.
  • Reworked the Exoblade, it no longer fires an exo beam and summons exo comets to protect the player. It now has a custom swing animation, and when swung, it now fires out three exo energy beams that home onto enemies after a short duration. When an exo energy beam damages a target, it will summon two additional light beams that slash the enemy once. It also now has a right-click function that causes the player to quickly lunge forward and fly through the air. The Exoblade does 175% more damage while lunging. Colliding with an enemy while lunging will cause the lunge to prematurely end, powering up the Exoblade, which causes its next swing to increase the sword size by 230%, and if the sword damages an enemy, it will create a power explosion that deals damage to nearby enemies. Nerfed damage from 900 to 640. Exoblade now uses the Melee No Speed damage type and the sword itself no longer inflicts any debuffs. However, its projectiles still inflict the Exo Freeze, Frostburn, Holy Flames, and On Fire! debuffs.
  • Reworked the Marnite Obliterator, it no longer functions as a hybrid axe and drill. It now functions akin to the Laser Drill, casting a diamond beam that destroys blocks at the mouse cursor. Additionally, the Marnite Obliterator now has a bonus +7 tile range. Nerfed damage from 11 to 7.
  • Reworked the Momentum Capacitor, it is no longer an accessory that consumes stealth when pressing Momentum Capacitor Effect to generate a magnetic field that amplifies Rogue projectile velocities. Instead, it now rapidly increases the player's movement speed, bypassing all speed caps, so long as the Momentum Capacitor is being left-clicked by the player.
  • Reworked the Rover Drive, it no longer periodically generates an energy shield around the player that increases their defense by 15 for 10 seconds. It now generates a protective matrix that absorbs 50 damage and increases the player's defense by 10. The protective matrix lasts indefinitely unless it is un-equipped or until the matrix is broken by damage. The protective matrix has a 10 second cooldown, and taking direct damage while the matrix is on cooldown will reset the cooldown to 10 seconds. Additionally, it can now be used in the Extractinator.
  • Reworked Wulfrum armor:
    • The Wulfrum Jacket now grants the player 5% damage reduction when worn instead of 3% increased critical strike chance.
    • The Wulfrum armor set bonus no longer grants various effects when equipped with different Wulfrum head pieces. It now always grants +1 minion slot and allows the player to transform into a Wulfrum Bastion if the player presses ▼ Down twice and there is at least 1 Wulfrum Metal Scrap in the player's inventory. When transformed, the player can not swap armor, accessories, or use any other items except a Grapple Hook and any buff potions in the player's inventory with a keybind. During the transformation, the player can only fire a prosthetic fusion cannon that shoots pellet projectiles in a burst of three. The Wulfrum Bastion transformation also grants the player an additional 13 defense, but they are slowed by 20%. After the transformation has ended, it will go on cooldown for 20 seconds. The transformation has a base duration of 30 seconds, but if the player takes damage during it, the duration will be slightly decreased.
  • Reworked the Wulfrum Battery, in addition to increasing the player's summon damage by 7%, it now causes all minions summoned to emit light, and adds a 50% chance for wulfrum enemies to drop an extra Wulfrum Metal Scrap when killed. Additionally, it can now be used in the Extractinator.
  • Reworked the Wulfrum Blunderbuss, it no longer functions like a bow and now functions as a gun that uses Wulfrum Metal Scraps or Silver Coins as ammunition. When used, it will consume one Wulfrum Metal Scrap or Silver Coin and gain 30 charges. Each time the blunderbuss is fired, it consumes one charge. When fired, it shoots a large spread of bullets; the bullet spread can be tightened by moving the cursor further away from the player, however, the damage of each shot will be decreased by up to 25% depending on the distance away the cursor is from the player. Nerfed its use time from 25 to 55, and removed its auto reuse.
  • Reworked the Wulfrum Controller, the Wulfrum Droid minion now recoils after firing its green projectile at enemies, and can no longer fire at enemies through walls. Additionally, it now has a right-click function that causes it to become supercharged. While supercharged, any Wulfrum Droids active return to the player and fire a beam at them, increasing the player's defense and life regeneration by 3. This bonus is additive with each Wulfrum Droid active. Buffed damage from 10 to 16.
  • Reworked the Wulfrum Drill, it now functions like a drill instead of a pickaxe. Decreased its pickaxe power from 40% to 35%.
  • Reworked the Wulfrum Knife, it now throws out knives in a burst of three when used. The second and third knives spread out slightly as they travel. Its stealth strike now causes each knife to damage an enemy twice, for a total of six hits if all of the knives hit an enemy. It now also has a right-click function that pulls Wulfrum Knives that are not broken on hit back towards the player.
  • Reworked Wulfrum Prosthesis, it no longer functions as a wand that casts a slow green bolt towards enemies. It now replaces the player's arm with a prosthetic that fires out a fast moving homing wulfrum bolt that damages enemies and does not pierce. It now also has a right-click function that drains a nearby enemy of their energy, replenishing the player's mana at a rate of 35/s.
  • Reworked Wulfrum Screwdriver, it no longer functions as a broadsword. It now functions as a shortsword, causing the player to stab in the general direction of their cursor with a screwdriver. Each time an enemy is damaged with the screwdriver, there is a 20% chance that a wulfrum screw will become available above the player's head, which is also indicated by a sound cue. Using right-click with a screw available will cause the player to throw out the screw in the direction the player is looking, damaging an enemy before breaking. If the player hits the screw mid-air with the screwdriver, it will be launched in the direction of the player's cursor, septupling the screw's damage. Only one screw can be available at a time. Additionally, damaging an enemy with the Screwdriver will reset its animation, making repeated hits come out quicker.

Additional Changes

  • Added official support for the Wikithis Mod.
  • Added additional support for the updated Boss Checklist Mod.
  • Made Abyss Gravel mine 50% faster.
  • Abyssal Treasures and Sulphuric Treasures no longer drop four items when used. To compensate, breaking a pot in the Abyss or Sulphurous Sea will now drop 4 of each respective treasure instead of 1.
  • Abyss Torches will now grant the player maximum torch luck while placed in the Abyss, and will negate 4 Torches-worth of luck when placed outside of the Abyss.
  • The Acid Rain event now plays the "Thunderstorm" music track instead of the "Solar Eclipse" music track if the Calamity Music Mod is not installed.
  • Gave the Aquatic Scourge and Desert Scourge Relics flavor tooltips.
  • Ares' "Exo Overload Beam" will now show up in the death message as "Blenderbeam" if a player is killed by it.
  • Arid Artifact now increases wind speed whenever it activates a Sandstorm.
  • Armors that grant the player Stealth no longer have an explanation of the Stealth mechanic in their set bonus tooltips. Instead, the player can now hold ⇧ Left Shift while hovering the mouse cursor over the Stealth Bar to read the mechanic's explanation.
  • Baby Flak Crabs no longer drop any money.
  • The Bladed Glove, Fetid Baghnakhs and Psycho Knife now say that they benefit less from melee swing speed bonuses in their tooltips.
  • Brimstone Crates no longer require Polterghast to be defeated to drop Bloodstone.
  • The Charge meter and the Stealth Bar can now be clicked through.
  • Underground Chests now have a 50% chance to contain 6 Seeking Mechanisms of their corresponding biome.
  • Removed the "Don't underestimate the …" flavor text from the Cosmic Shiv and Elemental Shiv.
  • Increased the volume of the "Draedon's Ambiance" sound effect by 462.34%.
  • Rewrote the death message for Dragonfire.
  • Rewrote the Dryad's dialog regarding the buffed Solar Eclipse from "There's a dark solar energy emanating from the moths that appear during this time. Ah, the moths as you progress further get more powerful... hmm... what power was Yharon holding back?" to "There's a dark solar energy emanating from the moths that appear during this time. Ah, as you progress further the moths get more powerful..."
  • The Dungeon Guardian now has 90% damage reduction instead of 99.99% damage reduction in all modes.
  • Drastically decreased the amount of dust the Elemental Shiv and Lucrecia create.
  • Removed the Block Swap lock on Eutrophic Sand, Navystone, Prism Shards, and Sea Prisms.
  • Clarified the exact movement speed bonus granted in the Falcon Blade's tooltip.
  • The Frosty Flare, Soul of Cryogen, and Winter's Fury Frost Shard projectile now only plays its sound effect on enemy hits. Additionally, decreased its volume by 30%.
  • The Gem Tech armor tooltip is now collapsed by default and can be opened by pressing ⇧ Left Shift.
  • Changed the Glimmering Gemfish's gem drop chanes:
    • Topaz chance increased from 40% to 50%.
    • Sapphire chance decreased from 30% to 25%.
    • Emerald chance increased from 20% to 25%.
    • Ruby chance decreased from 15% to 12.5%.
    • Amber chance decreased from 25% to 12.5%.
  • Projectiles that restore HP to the player created by the Auric Tesla armor set bonuses, Burnt Sienna, Indignant Enchantment, Grand Guardian, and Silva armor set bonuses can now pass through tiles.
  • Increased the frame rate of the Heart of the Elements minions.
  • Calamity Launchers can now use Dry and Liquid Rockets as ammo.
  • Added the Luck stat to the Stat Meter.
  • Reused the Abyss layer 1 map backgrounds to the Sunken Sea, and gave the Brimstone Crag a different map background.
  • The Mechanic Town NPC now sells the Combat Wrench for 10 Gold Coin at all times.
  • Permanent Life and Mana upgrades now mention in their tooltips whether or not the player has consumed them before.
  • Permanent Rage and Adrenaline Meter upgrades no longer drop if the player has consumed them.
  • Planetoids generated on the "For the worthy" world seed now spawn with random pockets of Lava inside of them.
  • Changed the Profaned Core's tooltip to mention Providence's unique drops.
  • Decreased the Research requirement for the Armored Shell, Dark Plasma, and Twisting Nether from 25 to 5, and all Calamity Crates from 10 to 5.
  • Improved how Calamity items are sorted in the Journey Mode Research menu.
  • Increased the spread of Providence, the Profaned Goddess' gores by 75%.
  • All Schematics, excluding Encrypted Schematic (Sunken Sea), now have their tooltips dynamically updated when the player has decrypted them. Additionally, all Schematics now display their lore text using the Draedon's Logs UI.
  • The Scuttler's Jewel can now be used at an Extractinator.
  • The Starter Bag now also gives 50 Ropes when opened.
  • Changed the status message that displays after trying to edit the difficulty while a boss is alive to use an exclamation mark.

  • Terraspark Boots now grant the player immunity to the On Fire! debuff while equipped.

  • The Wizard Town NPC now sells Potions of Return for 4 Gold Coin in Hardmode and 8 Gold Coin post-Moon Lord.
  • Removed a period from the Wulfrum Fishing Pole's tooltip.
  • The Wulfrum Gyrator, Wulfrum Hovercraft, Wulfrum Pylon, and Wulfrum Rover now have proper gores.

Gameplay

  • Fixed the Astral Chest causing world generation to fail.
  • Fixed an oversight that allowed the Astral Star projectile, used by several Astral Infection-themed items, to never despawn.
  • Fixed the Shop Alert icon appearing on Bandit for removed items.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Beetle armor set, Celestial Emblem, Flamarang, Mechanical Glove, and Phoenix Blaster to all have no recipes.
  • Fixed Big Sightseer banners not providing its bonus towards Seeker Spit as intended.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the Chlorophyte Life Pulse to deal damage to critters.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Chlorophyte armor ranged set bonus and the Magic Quiver from reducing ammo consumption as intended.
