Explosion

The Slime Puppet Staff is a craftable Pre-Hardmode summon weapon. It summons a floating slime ball that does not take up minion slots and follows slightly above the player. It attacks by charging at enemies within a 50-tile radius and then exploding upon impact, despawning immediately after. If the slime ball persists for five seconds without hitting any target, it will explode on its own. The slime ball inflicts the Slime debuff.

Its best modifier is Mythical, due to its unique nature of not requiring minion slots to be used and being able to be summoned in large numbers with a low enough use time, resulting in high damage output.

Tips

• As summon weapons are not affected by the Mana Sickness debuff caused by drinking mana potions, this weapon can be used in conjunction with the Mana Flower with no negative effect.
