The Lunic Eye is a craftable Hardmode classless weapon. When used, it shoots homing orange particle beams that do not pierce and inflict the Marked for Death debuff. Upon impact, the beams create a visual explosive plume of orange-and-cyan particles. The weapon and its projectiles scale with the current damage stats from all classes. It does not consume any ammo or mana.

The Lunic Eye cannot be reforged, and therefore cannot have modifiers.

Used in


  • As this weapon does not count as a specific weapon type, it does not provoke the penalty on minions' damage when holding a non-summoner weapon, making it an indispensable asset for summon-based characters.
  • The damage multiplication is equal to all-class damage bonuses added by the average of damage boosts from each of the 5 individual classes (Melee, Ranged, Mage, Summoner, Rogue).
    • e.g. If the player has +10% melee damage, +30% ranged damage, +5% rogue damage, and +15% all-class damage, the Lunic Eye will deal 24% more damage.


These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • Now uses 10 Any Cobalt Bars in its recipe instead of 15 Sea Prisms, 15 Aerialite Bars, 15 Sunplate Blocks, and 2 Pearl Shards.
  • Now uses 2 Pearl Shards in its recipe.
    • Nerfed velocity from 13 to 12.
    • Now inflicts Marked for 8 seconds instead of 5.
    • Now uses 15 Sea Prisms in its recipe.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 4 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 5.
  • Now grants 10 local immunity frames.
    • Buffed damage from 7 to 9.
    • Tooltip now reflects any damage boosts the player has that affects the weapon.
    • Projectiles now pierce once instead of twice, and last longer.
    • Resprited.
  • Now inflicts Marked for Death for 5 seconds instead of 2.5.
  • Now inflicts Marked for Death for 2.5 seconds instead of 5.
  • No longer decreases Stress while held.
