The Sand Tortoise was a Hardmode enemy that spawned in the Underground Desert. It behaved like a Giant Tortoise, walking a short distance before jumping up and spinning, heading towards the player to deal contact damage. If it walked into a liquid, it would immediately jump and spin.

Notes

  • Sand Tortoises were twice the size of other tortoise enemies.
  • Damaging the Sand Tortoise caused it to stop its attack animation.
    • This did not occur in Revengeance Mode if the Sand Tortoise was under 25% health.
