The Infernal Rift is a craftable Hardmode wand that is an upgrade to the Sky Fracture. It shoots out fifteen red tridents, which, after striking a target, summon more red tridents from off-screen that fly towards the hit target. Upon contact with any of these projectiles, the Hellfire debuff is inflicted.

The Infernal Rift has a base critical strike chance of 29%, as opposed to the usual 4% of weapons.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.2.001:
    • Buffed damage from 40 to 50 and velocity from 16 to 28.
    • Now inflicts Hellfire instead of Brimstone Flames.
    • No longer uses 3 Essences of Havoc in its recipe.
  • 2.0.1.002: Fixed it using the Rarity Level: 5 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 8.
  • 2.0.0.001:
    • Buffed use time from 4 to 2.
    • Now uses 10 Scoria Bars in its recipe instead of 10 Souls of Fright.
  • 1.5.1.001: Now inflicts Brimstone Flames for 2 and 3 seconds from secondary and main blades respectively instead of 4.
  • 1.4.5.001: Fixed secondary projectiles targeting the upper left corner of enemies rather than the center.
  • 1.4.2.102: Tooltip now mentions that its blades spawn additional blades upon enemy hits.
  • 1.1.7.51: Nerfed damage from 58 to 44, use time from 2 to 3, and use animation from 11 to 15.
  • 1.1.6.17: Blades now pierce once instead of twice.
