Soul Scythe

The Soul Harvester is a craftable Hardmode broadsword. It works similarly to the Death Sickle, as it shoots out spinning plague scythes, which stop after a certain time and spin in place, inflicting the Plague debuff to enemies. This projectile can pierce through multiple enemies, goes through blocks and gives off light, making it useful in caves. Enemies below 15% health hit by main swing itself will take an additional hit resulting from a dust explosion. The sickle additionally inflicts the Plague and Cursed Inferno debuffs.

Its best modifier is Legendary.

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Nerfed damage from 98 to 85 and use time from 20 to 24.
    • Decreased the scythe's lifespan from 7 seconds to 4, and it now grants 30 local immunity frames instead of 10.
    • Explosions now grant -1 local immunity frames instead of 10.
    • Decreased sell price from 16 Gold Coin to 12 Gold Coin.
    • Soul scythe no longer inflicts On Fire!, and now inflicts Plague for 3 seconds instead of 5.
    • Soul scythe explosion now inflicts Plague for 3 seconds instead of 10.
    • Both the soul scythe and its explosion now also inflict Cursed Inferno for 1.5 seconds.
    • Direct hits now inflict Plague for 4 seconds instead of 5.
    • Moved Death Sickle to the top of the recipe.
    • Enemies below 15% health now take additional explosion damage from the main scythe itself.
    • Now creates less dust.
  • Decreased Cursed Inferno duration from true melee hits from 5 seconds to 2.
    • Resprited it and scythes.
    • Fixed explosion not dealing damage.
    • Increased Cursed Inferno and Plague durations from 3.33 seconds to 5.
    • Tooltip now mentions that it fires scythes.
    • Buffed damage from 93 to 98.
    • Resprited soul scythe.
  • Buffed damage from 86 to 101, and use time from 24 to 20.
  • Scythe projectiles now set NPC immunity frames to 6.
  • Buffed damage from 73 to 86, use time from 29 to 23, knockback from 7 to 7.5, and shot speed from 16 to 18.
