The Ghoulish Gouger is a post-Moon Lord rogue boomerang dropped by Polterghast. It rapidly throws a scythe that goes through blocks. The scythe moves extremely quickly and ignores NPC immunity frames, allowing it to rack up enormous damage against large targets.
Performing a stealth strike with the Ghoulish Gouger will cause a wave of homing souls to release on enemy hits.
Its best modifier is Flawless.

- 1.5.0.001:
- Buffed damage from 110 to 166.
- No longer throws out one ghoulish scythe that grants enemies 2 local immunity frames; stealth strikes no longer spawn waves of souls. When used it now consecutively throws out four ghoulish scythes at very high velocity that grant enemies 10 local immunity frames. Stealth strike now spawns in three tormented souls on the first enemy hit that deal 85% base damage.
