The Plaguebringer Goliath125% / 33.33% Expert Mode

The Pestilent Defiler is a Hardmode gun that is dropped by The Plaguebringer Goliath. It slowly fires extremely powerful shots at high velocity. If Musket Balls are used as ammo, bullets are converted into sickness rounds that inflict the Plague debuff. Sickness rounds split into three homing rounds on impact that fly in random directions. Both the main and split rounds spawn plague particles upon death at their point of impact, which emit a small amount of light and pierce infinitely for a very short time.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

  • The Pestilent Defiler is based on a legendary pistol from Borderlands, known as the Defiler.

  • 2.0.2.001:
    • Particles now grant -1 local immunity frames.
    • Decreased sell price from 16 Gold Coin to 12 Gold Coin.
