The Galvanizing Glaive is a craftable Hardmode spear. When used, the player swings a spear around similarly to the Ghastly Glaive, and releases five gauss energy projectiles, each dealing 40% of the weapon's damage. If the target is struck by the spear itself, there is a 1/12 chance per hit for an energy flux to spawn on the enemy which inflicts continuous damage.
The weapon consumes 0.075 units of charge per use and has a maximum charge of 135. As such, the weapon can be used continuously from full charge 1800 times, or for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size.

The Galvanizing Glaive cannot be crafted until the Encrypted Schematic from the Jungle Bio-center Lab is decrypted. If the requirement has not been met, two lines of tooltip are added at the bottom of the item:

- 2.0.3.007: Fixed it lingering for extra animation cycles when switching to another spear while in use.
- 2.0.2.001: Buffed damage from 100 to 130.
- 2.0.1.001: Now uses 10 Infected Armor Plating in its recipe instead of 5.
- 1.5.1.001:
- No longer deals increased damage based on enemy defense, and updated tooltip to reflect this.
- Split the first line of its tooltip into two lines, and removed the period from the first line.
- 1.5.0.001: Fixed an issue that caused it to lose its charge when reforged.
