Wulfrum Droid

The Wulfrum Controller is a craftable Pre-Hardmode summon weapon. When used with its primary function (left-click), it summons a Wulfrum Droid minion that floats by the player and attacks nearby enemies by firing green energy bolts that cannot pierce but can curve towards nearby enemies. The droid waits a random time from 0.49-1.83 seconds between shots, and recoils in the opposite direction of its shot while shooting.

When holding with its secondary function (right-click), the droid will become supercharged, stop attacking enemies and will be recalled to the closest player from the cursor. When close enough to the player, it will emit a short pulse trail that connects to the player, granting them 3 defense and 1 life regen per existing droid. If the player has the Rover Drive equipped, it is also capable of recovering the protection matrix at a 33.33% chance per 1.83 seconds.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Wulfrum Controller has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

Notes

• The Wulfrum Droid will randomly emote when not attacking, indicated by its chirp sound.
  • It will also emit a sweat emote while it catches up with the player.
