Omicron Wingman
The Omicron's two different modes.

The Omicron is a craftable post-Moon Lord magic gun that is the final upgrade to the Wingman and Genesis. When used with its primary fire (left-click), it fires an array of 10 lasers that pierce once and decrease in their spread on successive shots before resetting back to original spread after every 5 shots. In addition, two Wingmen are summoned to the sides of the player perpendicular to the direction of the cursor, that each switch sides and fire 3 lasers towards the cursor that also pierce once. Both the cannon and the Wingmen stop attacking as soon as the player stops holding left click or runs out of mana.

When used with its secondary fire (right-click) while the weapon is in use consumes 128 mana and causes the weapon to instead fire a powerful beam, which deals 3200% damage and resets the laser spread for the following set of shots. Hitting an enemy from over 15-tiles away causes the beam to split into a Y-shape. Enemies that are hit in closer range will not split the beam but take 16000% damage instead of 3200% and causes the player to recoil in the opposite direction the weapon is fired towards. Then, after 0.83 seconds, each Wingman consumes 16 mana and fires 2 high-deceleration grenades towards the cursor which explode on collision with enemies or after 1.6 seconds, dealing 1400% damage to all enemies in a 11.25-tile radius. All attacks are capable of passing through tiles.

Its best modifier is Mythical. However, the weapon's use time will not be affected.

  • Each Wingman consumes mana independently of the other. If the player has sufficient mana to fire from one Wingman but not both, the white-tailed Wingman takes priority in firing.
  • XM-05 Thanatos takes only 50% damage from the Omicron's beam.


  • It was originally implemented based on a community suggestion made by Gouvod on the mod's Terraria Forums post.


These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Grenades now deal 14x base damage instead of 20x.
    • Fixed several desync issues in multiplayer.

  • Buffed damage from 130 to 160, but nerfed mana cost from 5 to 8.

    • Nerfed damage from 125 to 38.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 14 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 13.
    • Buffed damage from 95 to 125.
    • Now uses 8 Cosmilite Bars in its recipe.
  • Beams now grant local immunity frames instead of global immunity frames when hitting enemies.
  • Nerfed damage from 150 to 141.
    • Now requires an Ancient Manipulator to craft instead of a Hardmode Anvil.
    • Now has a right click ability that fires a ray which splits into two more rays at a certain distance.
  • 1.1.7:
    • Buffed mana cost from 10 to 6.
    • Beam now sets target immunity frames to 2.
