The Overloaded Blaster is a Pre-Hardmode flamethrower that is dropped by The Slime God. When used, it shoots a spread of three piercing slime pearls that eventually slow down and stop traveling after reaching medium distance, after which the slime pearls will stop in place and become overloaded. When overloaded, slime pearls deal 175% of the weapon's damage but no longer pierce. If a slime pearl hits a tile, it will bounce off at high speed.
Its best modifier is Unreal.
Notes
- The Overloaded Blaster noticeably differs from other flamethrowers, lacking a well-defined stream or the typical sound effect. However, it is alike them in that it consumes Gel as ammo.

- The weapon's design is similar to that of the Splattershot type weapon from the Splatoon franchise.

- 2.0.3.008: Overloaded slime bolts now deal 175% base damage instead of 200%.
- 2.0.3.007:

- Buffed damage from 16 to 19, but nerfed use time from 16 to 22 and shot speed from 6.5 to 5. It now fires 3 bolts per use instead of 5, and now has a 25% chance to not consume ammo instead of 33%.
