The Staff of Necrosteocytes is a Pre-Hardmode summon weapon that is dropped by Dark Casters. When used, it summons a small skeleton minion that runs along the ground to target nearby enemies. When it moves, the skeleton will occasionally emit damaging bone cells that linger for a short time.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Staff of Necrosteocytes has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
