Spectral Hammer Hit

The Pwnagehammer is a craftable Hardmode melee weapon. When used, it throws a slow gravity-affected hammer which cannot pass through tiles and will travel a short distance before falling. Upon hitting an enemy, it releases a small explosion, dealing 50% of the weapon's damage to all enemies within its radius.

Up to 4 times, thrown hammer hits have increasingly higher pitched hit sounds.

Upon the 4th hit, the hammer releases a spectral hammer upon returning, homing onto an enemy after 0.92 seconds. The spectral hammer deals 200% of the weapon's damage and releases a larger explosion on hit, dealing an additional 100% of the weapon's damage to all enemies within its radius.

Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size.

Notes

  • In the Get fixed boi seed, the normal and spectral hammer hit sounds are replaced by tubular bell sounds and pan hit sounds respectively.
  • Despite using a Pwnhammer in crafting, it cannot be used as a regular hammer.
  • Its high damage may initially make it seem very powerful, but the speed of the weapon is slow to balance it out.
  • When it explodes, it emits a decent area of light, which the homing hammer doubles.

Trivia

  • The easter egg tubular bell sound is commonly referred to in the community as the "Calamity Bells" due to its frequent usage in Calamity music.
  • The easter egg pan hit sound is identical to the one used by the Frying Pan in Team Fortress 2.
