The Universe Splitter is a craftable post-Moon Lord developer summon weapon. When used, a field appears at the player's cursor. After two seconds, a red laser sweeps down from the sky towards the field every second for six seconds, slightly randomized in the angle shot. One second after the sixth shot, a huge white laser beam strikes down from the sky towards the center of the field. All laser beams inflict the Electrified debuff and pierce infinitely through targets. The main beam cannot travel through solid tiles.

Each usage of the weapon has a 45 second cooldown. If used while the cooldown is active, the weapon will drop a Martian Saucer scrap projectile which deals 10 / 20 / 30 damage to the player.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Universe Splitter has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

Trivia

• The weapon is partially inspired by Euclid's C-Finder from Fallout: New Vegas.
• This weapon has the highest base damage of any weapon in the Calamity mod.

• 2.0.4.001: Increased sell price from 40 to 56 .

• 2.0.3.008: Nerfed damage from 18,000 to 15,000.

• 2.0.2.001: Increased Electrified duration from the huge beam from 4 seconds to 5, but it no longer inflicts Nightwither.

• 2.0.1.002: Fixed it scaling with summon damage twice.
