The Viscera is a craftable post-Moon Lord wand. When used, it fires a burst of 4 solid beams of blood that bounce off of tiles and heal the player for 5% of the damage dealt. Each successive beam in the burst deals 20% more damage, reaching a maximum of 160% damage on the final beam. Blood beams pierce up to 6 times, except every 4th beam creates a large explosion on hit instead of piercing, dealing an additional 120% damage in a large radius.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.4.001:
    • Reworked:
      • Buffed damage from 100 to 229 and use time from 14 to 7, but nerfed knockback from 6 to 5 and mana cost from 15 to 18.
      • No longer fires piercing blood beams that heal more health the more tiles and enemies they hit.
      • Now fires a burst of 4 blood beams with a pause in between. Beams pierce 6 times, grant -1 local immunity frames, and bounce off tiles. Each successive beam in the burst deals 20% more damage.
      • The last beam of each burst does not pierce, instead creating a bloodsplosion on hit that deals 120% base damage, 400% base knockback, and inflicts Burning Blood for 3 seconds.
    • Lifesteal now bypasses lifesteal immunity, but obeys the lifesteal cooldown.
    • Beams now heal for 5% of damage dealt instead of 1 health.
    • Blood beams now use spark particles with flavor dust instead of being entirely dust, and they now visually start at the tip of the weapon.
    • Increased sell price from 24 Gold Coin to 30 Gold Coin.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 153 to 100.
    • Projectile now pierces 9 times instead of 6, and decreased the amount it lifesteals by 37.5%.
    • Projectile now ignores liquid physics.
  • 1.4.3.002:
    • Fixed dust visuals on rays.

  • 1.4.2.001: Can no longer heal off of enemies with the canGhostHeal tag set to false.
  • 1.4.1.001: Nerfed damage from 180 to 153, but buffed mana cost from 20 to 15.
  • 1.4.0.002: Nerfed healing multiplier per enemy hit or bounce from 1.5x to 1.4x.
  • 1.2.1.002: Buffed damage from 150 to 170 and mana cost from 23 to 20, but decreased healing from 2% of damage to 1.5%.
  • 1.1.7.901:
    • On-hit effects no longer activate on Target Dummies.
    • Removed the line, "Fires a beam of blood energy that bounces and heals the player on enemy hits" from tooltip.
