The Obliterator is a post-Moon Lord yoyo dropped by The Devourer of Gods. Unlike other yoyos, The Obliterator ignores NPC immunity frames, allowing it to rapidly bounce off of enemies and inflict much more damage than its damage stat would indicate. If enemies are nearby, The Obliterator will rapidly fire nebula lasers which do 50% of the yoyo's damage. The yoyo and nebula lasers inflict the God Slayer Inferno debuff.

Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size. Ruthless might be preferred if the player already has 100% critical strike chance.

Notes

• The Obliterator moves extremely quickly compared to other yoyos, allowing it to more easily track fast enemies.
• The lasers spawned when near an enemy are affected by flasks and melee equipment due to their classification as melee damage.
• The lasers are five times more likely to fire at a boss versus other nearby non-boss enemies.

• 2.0.3.005: Nerfed damage from 250 to 220.

• 2.0.3.002:
  • Nerfed damage from 255 to 250 and effective local immunity frames from 3 to 6, but buffed range from 40 tiles to 45 and effective top speed from 26 to 54.
  • Lasers now deal 100% base damage instead of 50%, spawn closer to the center of the yoyo, and knockback now scales with the yoyo's knockback.
  • The yoyo is no longer 60% larger.
