Explosion
The Absolute Zero is a Hardmode broadsword that autoswings. It is sold by the Archmage for 60 after defeating all three minibosses in the Frost Moon event. When swung, it fires a dark ice crystal that explodes upon impact with an enemy or tile, dealing damage in an area of effect. Striking an enemy directly with the blade also creates large frost explosions. Both the blade and its projectiles inflict the Frostbite and Glacial State debuffs.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
Trivia
- Absolute zero is the scientific term for 0 Kelvin, the asymptotic lowest possible temperature for anything to reach.
- The projectiles fired by Absolute Zero are visually identical to the projectiles fired by the Archmage; however, the Absolute Zero's ice crystals explode and deal additional damage on hit.

- Nerfed damage from 105 to 75.
- No longer deals half damage if a true melee hit critically strikes.
