The Infinity is a craftable post-Moon Lord gun that is a direct upgrade to the Shredder. When used with its primary fire (left-click), it shoots a 4-attack burst of short-ranged, non-damaging sparks with no delay between uses. Every 4th attack fires a helix pattern of 2 fast-moving red energy bolts which each split off into 2 infinitely piercing small bolts in the opposite direction upon hitting any enemy or tile. Small bolts deal 30% damage and bounce back in the original direction after 0.14 seconds, passing through tiles. Both the main and small bolts have a default armor penetration of 25. When used with its secondary fire (right-click), it shoots an equivalent barrage of normal bullets with an identical number of projectiles, firing rate, and spread pattern but without visual sparks for each shot.

Its best modifier is Unreal. However, the weapon's firing speed will not be affected.

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Nerfed damage from 110 to 85 and shot speed from 12 to 6, but buffed use time from 2 to 1 and use animation from 12 to 4.
    • Now fires continuously in a sine-wave pattern instead of in bursts of bullets and has an 80% chance to not consume ammo.
    • Charged blasts now have 6 extra updates instead of 1. Split blasts now aim in a backwards spread instead of in random directions, have 5 extra updates instead of 1, and grant 15 local immunity frames instead of -1, but deal 30% base damage instead of 50%.
    • Split blasts now turn around after traveling a certain distance, allowing them to hit multiple times.
    • Both blasts now have an innate 25 armor penetration.
    • Changed colors and particle visuals on its charged blasts and split blasts.
    • Nerfed damage from 120 to 110. Reduced the spread of its bullets by 33%, but it now fires 12 bullets per use instead of 18.
    • Charged blasts now have 1 extra update instead of 3, last 6 seconds instead of 10, and spawn 2 split blasts instead of 2-4.
    • Split blasts now deal 50% base damage instead of 85%. Split blasts now grant -1 local immunity frames instead of 3 global immunity frames, but have 1 extra update instead of 2 and last 3 seconds instead of 3.33.
    • Increased sell price from 28 Gold Coin to 40 Gold Coin.
    • Buffed damage from 45 to 130.
    • Decreased sell price from 36 Gold Coin to 28 Gold Coin.
    • Buffed damage from 22 to 45 and use time from 1800 to 18.
    • Removed its flavor tooltip.
    • Now crafted from a Shredder and 10 Cosmilite Bars at a Cosmic Anvil instead of being dropped by Moon Lord in Malice Mode.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 14 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 10.
    • Nerfed damage from 30 to 22.
    • Now drops from Moon Lord in Malice Mode instead of all difficulties. Increased drop rate from 2.5% to 100% Malice Mode.
    • Now has a custom - Challenge Item - (#FF8C00 ●) tag instead of using the Rarity level: Rare Variant rarity.
  • Buffed use time from 108,000 to 1800, and changed firing pattern.
