Use
The Evil Smasher is a Hardmode broadsword that is obtained by breaking 12 Demon Altars or Crimson Altars. Upon killing an enemy, the weapon gains 10% increased damage, attack speed and knockback. This stacks up to 10 times. Using another item will remove the stacks. Getting hit by an enemy will remove 1 stack.
Its best modifier is Legendary.

- This weapon is a reference to the weapon of the same name from Borderlands 2.
History

- 2.0.2.002: Buffed damage from 100 to 120.
- 2.0.2.001: Now drops after every 12 altars broken instead of every 3.
- 1.5.0.002: Fixed an outdated line in its tooltip.
- 1.5.0.001:
- Buffed damage from 55 to 125, but nerfed use time from 29 to 37 and knockback from 8 to 6.
- No longer spawns rock spikes on enemy hits or has a random chance for its stats to double. It now gains 10% increased damage, attack speed and knockback per enemy defeated with it up to 10 defeats. If the player uses another item, all stacks are removed. If the player is hit by an enemy, one stack will be removed.
- Now drops from Wall of Flesh in Malice Mode instead of Basilisks in all difficulties. Increased drop rate from 0.5% to 100% .
- Now has a custom - Challenge Item - (#FF8C00 ●) tag instead of using the rarity.
- Resprited.
- 1.4.5.005: Now has a 200% size modifier.
