The Alula Australis is a Hardmode wand that is dropped by Astrum Aureus. When used, it fires an aurora beam which travels in a cosine pattern. As the beam travels, homing astral stars trail with the beam and rain down from the sky. The damage and knockback of the astral stars are randomized from 25% to 75% of their base values. Both the aurora beam and the astral stars inflict the Astral Infection debuff.
Its best modifier is Mythical.

- Alula Australis is an alternate name given to the star system "Xi Ursae Majoris", which was the first binary star system ever discovered.
