Not to be confused with Astral Staff, a wand crafted using Astral Bars.

The Astralachnea Staff is a Hardmode wand that is dropped by Astralachneas after Astrum Aureus has been defeated. It fires 4-7 homing astral fangs that inflict the Astral Infection debuff on their target. The player can tighten the spread of the projectiles by aiming the cursor further away. The fangs will not pass through blocks.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Notes

  • This weapon can also be obtained from the Astral Crate after Astrum Aureus has been defeated.
  • Due to how the weapon' spread works, using the weapon while the cursor is on top of the player will cause the projectiles to fly into multiple directions, making it useful combined with their homing capabilities for dealing with multiple enemies.

Trivia

  • This weapon could be considered a successor to the Poison Staff or the Venom Staff, as it is dropped by a spider-type enemy and fires a spread of debuffing fangs.
