The Valediction is a post-Moon Lord rogue boomerang that is dropped by the Reaper Shark after Polterghast has been defeated. When used, it throws a high velocity reaper scythe that goes through tiles, pierces infinitely, homes on nearby enemies and inflicts the Crush Depth debuff. It will return to the player after traveling a moderate distance or after hitting an enemy. When returning, the scythe dissipates into water particles.
Performing a stealth strike with the Valediction will deal 80% damage and spawn three typhoons on enemy hits that rapidly spin around the hit enemy and damage them. The typhoons deal half of the weapon's damage.
Its best modifier is Flawless.
Notes
- Reaper scythes can orbit their target at high speed, dealing damage multiple times before returning. On rare occasion, they can miss their target entirely.
- Typhoons deal 80% damage to The Devourer of Gods.
