The Tesla Cannon is a craftable post-Moon Lord magic gun. When fired, a large light-blue beam is fired that creates a large dust explosion when contacting a block or enemy. The beam will arc towards other nearby enemies once contacting an enemy.
The weapon consumes 0.75 units of charge per use and has a maximum charge of 250. As such, the weapon can be used continuously from full charge 333 times, or for 8 minutes and 20 seconds.
Its best modifier is Mythical.

The Tesla Cannon cannot be crafted until the Encrypted Schematic from the Ice Bio-center Lab is decrypted. If the requirement has not been met, two lines of tooltip are added at the bottom of the item:

- The Tesla Cannon is a reference to the weapon of the same name from Fallout: New Vegas and the Broken Steel addon for Fallout 3, and uses the same firing sound effect.
History
- 2.0.3.005: Nerfed damage from 1360 to 1220, and mana cost from 30 to 60.
- 2.0.2.002: Buffed charge usage from 0.9 to 0.75.
- 2.0.1.002: Buffed damage from 1050 to 1360.
- 1.5.1.001: No longer does more damage to organic enemies.
- 1.5.0.001:
- Nerfed damage from 16,200 to 1050.
- Now uses 2 Ascendant Spirit Essences and 8 Cosmilite Bars in its recipe instead of 4 Auric Bars, and now requires a Cosmic Anvil to craft instead of a Draedon's Forge.
