The Burning Sea is a craftable Hardmode spell tome. When used, it fires fast brimstone fireballs which are affected by gravity and bounce off of tiles. The fireballs can bounce 3 times and pierce 2 enemies, and each last 5 seconds before disappearing. Upon contact with water, the fireballs transform into 2 small homing flares which shoot upward at random angles, dealing 100% of the weapon's damage and dissipate upon impact with tiles or enemies.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Notes

  • The Burning Sea cannot shoot projectiles if the player is underwater.

Tips

  • Placing Bubble blocks with water inside them can be a good idea for arenas, providing more locations for the Burning Sea's fireballs to turn into homing flames.
  • Alternatively, fighting in the Ocean biome could be helpful, as the fireballs will have a much higher chance of becoming homing flares.
