The Infected Remote is a Hardmode summon weapon that is dropped by The Plaguebringer Goliath. When used, it summons Virili, a humanoid-hybrid Plaguebringer, who flies around the player and attacks enemies with various attacks set in the following pattern:
- Moves above the enemy and charges downwards, repeating up to 6 times.
- Hovers above the enemy and charges horizontally, firing a total of 8 homing rockets as she charges, repeating up to 6 times.
- Hovers above the enemy and summons Baby Plaguebringers and tiny plagued bees around her. Plagued bees home in on the nearest enemy similarly to normal friendly bees, while Baby Plaguebringers perform up to 3 successful horizontal charges before dissipating and idle for a moderate amount of time when there are no enemies nearby.
All of Virili's patterns are based on a timer that will run even if no enemies are nearby, meaning she can start attacking an enemy in the middle of her attack pattern. She takes up 3 minion slots and only 1 can exist at a time.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Infected Remote has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

- The name Virili is derived from the word "virulent", which is used to describe a disease or poison with extremely harmful effects.
