Plague is a debuff inflicted primarily by "plagued" enemies in the Jungle as well as weapons dropped by The Plaguebringer Goliath.
Effects
It provides the following effects while inflicted:
- To an enemy:
- -50 HP/s
- -5% contact damage
- Upon dying, every enemy within a radius of 25 blocks will be inflicted with the Plague debuff for 5 seconds.
- To the player:
- -15 HP/s
- To any target:
- The target emits large green particles.
Resistances
The player can become immune to Plague by equipping the following items:

- According to the lore for The Plaguebringer Goliath, the Plague consists of infectious nano-machines.
- The Plague has a Draedon's Log entry dedicated to it that can be found in the Jungle Bio-center Lab.
History
These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
- 2.1.0:
- No longer reduces player damage by 10%.
- Fixed on-kill effect triggering multiple times on worms.
- 2.0.4.003:
- Decreased its reduced player damage from 15% to 10%, and it no longer darkens vision.
- Increased the range in which it spreads to enemies when a Plague-inflicted enemy dies, and improved the visuals used when it is spread.
