Brain Rot is a debuff inflicted by The Hive Mind and its minions, as well as several weapons dropped by The Hive Mind. When inflicted on the player, they lose 4 health per second. When inflicted on an enemy, they will lose 25 health per second.

The player can become immune to Brain Rot by equipping the Corrupt Flask.

• One of the death messages caused by Brain Rot, "<PlayerName> was everywhere at the end of time.", is a reference to the Everywhere at the End of Time series of musical albums by The Caretaker. The albums portray the experience of Alzheimer's disease, which is a degenerative brain condition.
