The Gastric Belcher Staff is a Hardmode summon weapon that is dropped by Leviathan and Anahita. When used, it summons a miniature variant of the Aquatic Aberration that floats by the player and attacks nearby enemies by firing gravity-affected vomit towards its targets which inflicts the Acid Venom debuff. Every third attack, it instead fires a random spread of five bubbles with varying size. The bubbles stay still and linger after a short time if they haven't hit a target, and the vomit pierces up to two enemies.
Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Gastric Belcher Staff has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
