Solar Spirit

The Sun Spirit Staff is a craftable Pre-Hardmode summon weapon. It summons a Solar Spirit minion that continually floats over the player's head and fires yellow beams of energy at nearby enemies. Unlike most minions, only one Solar Spirit can be summoned.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Sun Spirit Staff has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
