Slime is a vanilla debuff that causes the hit target to visually drip blue goo and gain a blue tint. It is inflicted by the Overloaded Blaster, Sludge Splotch, Sticky Spiky Ball, and some equipment made from Purified Gel and Blighted Gel.

The Calamity Mod additionally causes the Slime debuff to increase heat debuff damage against enemies inflicted. This heat debuff damage buff works as follows:

  • If an enemy is neutral to heat debuffs, they will instead take 2x damage, as if they were vulnerable.
  • If an enemy is vulnerable to heat debuffs, they will take an additional 1.5x damage, increasing the damage multiplier from 2x to 3x.
  • If an enemy is resistant to heat debuffs, the resistance is effectively canceled out. This causes debuffs to deal 1x damage instead of 0.5x.
