Potions are a group of consumable items that either recover health and/or mana or grant temporary buffs. They are more commonly found in natural chests and Pots and can also be dropped by enemies, purchased from NPCs, or crafted.

The Calamity Mod adds several new potions to the game, with their purposes ranging between upgraded healing, granting new buffs, combining many buffs into one, or permanently altering the player's stats.

These items, when used, permanently increase the player's maximum health, mana, or provide permanent bonuses to the Rage and Adrenaline Meters. They can only be used once each. The mana increases provided by the Comet Shard, Ethereal Core, and Phantom Heart ignore the vanilla mana cap of 400, allowing max mana to reach up to 550.
