Perdition is a post-Moon Lord summon weapon that is dropped by Supreme Witch, Calamitas. When used, its summons a floating beacon that follows the player around. When an enemy is targeted via right-clicking with most summon weapons, a cross appears on the marked target, a large area lights up with fire dust, and various types of homing souls appear from below.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stat bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage a Mythical Perdition has over a Ruthless one is knockback.

  • Perdition is a state of eternal punishment originating from Christianity, that sinful people are sentenced to after death.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.3.008: Tooltip now mentions how many minion slots it requires.
  • 2.0.3.005:
    • Buffed damage from 100 to 375.
    • Now counts as a minion instead of a sentry, and requires 5 minion slots to summon.
  • 2.0.1.002: Nerfed damage from 444 to 100. Increased average speed of giant souls by 62.5%.
  • 1.5.0.002:
    • Tooltip now mentions that there can only be one of its corresponding minion active per player.
    • Fixed a bug that allowed the player to summon more Perdition Beacons than intended.
