The Blight Spewer is a Hardmode flamethrower that is dropped by The Plaguebringer Goliath. It uses Gel for ammunition, with a 40% chance to not consume ammo. When used, it fires a green nanomachine cloud that rapidly slows down after traveling a moderate distance, then lingers for 1.11 seconds before dissipating. If the cloud hits a tile, it will linger slightly longer. If the cloud hits an enemy, it locks onto the target, dealing up to 5 hits before dissipating. The clouds inflict the Plague debuff on hit.
Its best modifier is Unreal.

- 2.0.4.001:
- Nanomachine clouds now home towards the closest enemy instead of the earliest enemy in the NPC array.
- Fixed its backpack sprite sometimes drawing with an incorrect offset.
