The Aegis Blade is a Hardmode broadsword that is dropped by Golem. When used with its primary fire (left-click), it will deal damage in a normal manner. Striking an enemy with the sword causes a shortly lingering eruption that is capable of hitting twice before dissipating. When used with its secondary fire (right-click), the sword itself will not deal damage but will instead shoot a bolt that deals 85% of the weapon's damage. The bolt explodes into 2-3 flaming sparks on contact with a tile or enemy, dealing 75% of the bolt's damage. The sparks do not pierce and linger on the ground for 2 seconds before dissipating. If a spark hits an enemy, it causes a small flame explosion that deals 75% of the spark's damage.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
