Draconic Destruction's large area of effect. It is more effective against targets below the initial projectile's point of contact.

The Draconic Destruction is a craftable post-Moon Lord developer broadsword that autoswings. When swung, it fires a high-velocity sword beam that pierces infinitely and splits into 8 more sword beams in a circular formation on enemy hits. The split beams move out for a quick moment before erratically flying up and down constantly while spacing away from each other as they travel before dissipating. The sword itself inflicts the Daybroken debuff. The main sword beam inflicts the Dragonfire, Daybroken, Slime, and Oiled debuffs, while the split beams inflict the Dragonfire debuff. The sword beams also ignore NPC immunity frames.

Its best modifier is Legendary.

  • Because of the weapons large area of effect, it is more effective against larger targets, such as Leviathan, in the Boss Rush event.

Trivia

  • This weapon actually has a unique rarity but is referred to here as Hot Pink for consistency between weapons.
    • This unique rarity alternates between orange (#FF4500 ●) and dark red (#8B0000 ●) colors.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.4.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 250 to 200, and use time from 24 to 34.
    • Main beam now pierces infinitely and grants 1 effective local immunity frame, and now inflicts Dragonfire, Daybroken, Slimed, and Oiled for 1.5 seconds instead of Daybroken for 3 seconds. Main beam only spawns secondary beams on the first hit.
    • Secondary beams now have 1 extra update, and inflict Dragonfire for 1.5 seconds instead of Daybroken for 3 seconds.
    • Increased sell price from 40 Gold Coin to 56 Gold Coin.
  • 1.5.1.001:
    • Decreased Daybroken duration from beams from 10 seconds to 3.
    • No longer considered a fire weapon.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 350 to 80.
    • Now grants enemies 10 local immunity frames instead of 1.
  • 1.4.4.002: Now uses a custom rarity color which alternates between #FF4500 ● and #8B0000 ●.
  • 1.4.2.107: Projectiles are now briefly invisible upon spawning.
  • 1.4.2.102: True melee hits and beams now inflict Daybroken for 10 seconds instead of On Fire! for 8.33 seconds.
  • 1.2.1.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 500 to 115.
    • Main beam is now faster.
  • 1.2.0.001:
    • Wavering beams now create twice as much dust.
    • Wavering beams no longer inflict Frostburn for 8.33 seconds.
  • 1.1.7.901: Now requires a Draedon's Forge to craft instead of an Ancient Manipulator.
