Scarlet Blast

The Scarlet Devil is a craftable post-Moon Lord developer javelin. It fires an extremely-high velocity spear that leaves behind projectiles as it travels. The projectiles are not affected by gravity and home in on nearby enemies slightly after being spawned. Upon contact with an enemy, the spear creates a Scarlet Blast which rapidly damages any enemy caught in its blast radius. The spear and its projectiles can travel through blocks and only hit one enemy.

Performing a stealth strike with the Scarlet Devil will cause the next spear thrown to lifesteal for 90 health on hit, as well as create a hexagram pattern of projectiles which quickly home in on enemies.

Its best modifier is Flawless.

Trivia

• The tooltip is a reference to the spell card Divine Spear "Spear the Gungnir", used by the character Remilia Scarlet from the Touhou Project series.
  • The name of the weapon is a reference to Remilia's title, The Scarlet Devil.
• This weapon actually has a unique rarity but is referred to here as Hot Pink for consistency between weapons.
  • This unique rarity alternates between red (#BF2D47 ●) and lavender (#B9BBFD ●) colors.
    • These colors are the approximate colors of Remilia's ribbons and hair, respectively.
• In the 1.5.0.001 update, the weapon's base damage was reduced from 40,000 to 8000. With a total loss of 32,000 damage, this makes Scarlet Devil the weapon with the most drastic damage stat change in one update in the mod's history.
