The Fetid Emesis is a post-Moon Lord gun that is dropped by The Old Duke. It fires bullets at a gradually increasing rate, up to a maximum of 20 bullets per second after 5 seconds. After 7 seconds, the gun fires a massive spread of 11 rotten chunks outwards which deal 250% damage and inflict the Sulphuric Poisoning debuff. After firing, the gun will be forced to be held in its tired state depending on how long it was charged up for, at a minimum of 0.46 seconds, up to 3 seconds when fully charged, and 2.1 seconds if chunks were fired when fully charged. While tired, the gun releases a non-damaging huff every 0.5 seconds. Right-clicking while firing the gun will immediately fire the chunks and apply the tired state.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

  • 2.1.1: Nerfed damage from 224 to 214.
  • 2.1.0:
    • Reworked:
      • Buffed damage from 129 to 224, and knockback from 3 to 5. It now has a 66% chance to not consume ammo instead of 40%.
      • No longer rapidly fires bullets while having a small chance to instead fire a rotten chunk that sticks to enemies.
      • Now fires bullets, with its fire rate dramatically increasing over 5 seconds. After 5 seconds, the gun fires a spread of 11 rotten chunks that deal 250% base damage and inflict Sulphuric Poisoning for 7 seconds. Afterwards, the gun has a 3 second delay before it can be fired again.
      • Right-clicking while firing the gun will immediately fire the chunks, with the cooldown slightly decreasing the earlier the chunks were fired.
    • No longer uses point-blank.
  • 2.0.4.001: Increased sell price from 26 Gold Coin to 35 Gold Coin.
  • 1.5.1.001: Now has a 40% chance to not consume ammo.
