Use

The Smoking Comet is a craftable Pre-Hardmode yoyo. While deployed, it causes stars to rain from the sky, which pierce twice and can pass through tiles. The Smoking Comet's hitbox is also much larger than other yoyos.

Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size.

Trivia

• The Smoking Comet is a reference to Smoky Quartz and her yoyo from the cartoon series Steven Universe.
  • The recipe references how Smoky Quartz is a fusion of Amethyst and Steven, who has a shirt with a star on it and Pink Diamond's gem.

• 2.0.4.001:
  • Buffed damage from 14 to 21, airtime from 15 seconds to 21, range from 15 tiles to 20, and top speed from 14 to 20.
  • Yoyo now grants 15 local immunity frames instead of 20, and rains stars every 0.45 seconds instead of 0.5.
  • Now uses 10 Meteorite Bars in its recipe.

• 2.0.3.002:
  • Nerfed effective local immunity frames from 10 to 20 and effective top speed from 24 to 14, but buffed air time from 4 seconds to 15 and range from 12.5 tiles to 15.
  • Stars now grant 20 effective local immunity frames.
