The Devil's Sunrise is a craftable post-Moon Lord melee weapon that is a direct upgrade to the Terragrim. While being swung, white blurred slashes will appear in the direction of the mouse, creating an illusion that the sword itself is being swung very quickly. Any enemies that are hit by the slashes will take damage and are inflicted with the Brimstone Flames debuff. Its slashes will turn red the longer it is deployed.

It will also fire a small cyclone that shares similar properties to the slashes. The cyclone will follow the mouse cursor much like a yoyo and will inflict the Brimstone Flames debuff. The cyclone will also turn red the longer it is deployed. After 8 seconds of being deployed, the cyclone will return to the player. When the slashes and cyclones turn red, their damage is increased by 200% which scales linearly when held over for 5 seconds.

Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size. Ruthless might be preferred if the player already has 100% critical strike chance.





These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Nerfed damage from 480 to 420. It now uses the melee no speed damage type instead of true melee no speed.
    • Cyclone projectile now disappears after 8 seconds instead of 8.5.
    • The 200% damage boost now scales linearly as it is held over 5 seconds instead of instantaneously applying after 4.27 seconds.
    • Increased sell price from 24 Gold Coin to 30 Gold Coin.
    • Fixed its damage not scaling with melee damage boosts.
  • Now uses Terragrim in its recipe instead of Arkhalis.
  • Now benefits from true melee bonuses.
